Paradise revisited
July 23, 2007
Photos from dive trip to Kapalai/Mabul/Sipadan. The reason why they’re in slashes is because it’s the golden triangle of islands; one must always visit all three when they’re there.
The resort:

The room on stilts, and an exclusive walkway.

Where we eat and hang out

drink tea and be merry

Extremely low tide

The embraced days of sumlight and clear skies

Into the deep blue. My favourite jetty.

Hugs.

Exhibiting our wares.

HAHA. It’s a bandana I use to wrap my hair so they don’t look like seaweed in the water. Nice improvisation.

In between dives at Pulau Sipadan
People we met:

Japanese group of people, I kind of forgot their names.

Rowdy and extremely fun group of Turkish

Koreans – Yu Jin and Pin!!

Boatmen. The mighty boatmen
Critters:

Tiny little cuttlefish

My favourite fish for that time.

Flambouyant cuttlefish.

It’s a bloody huge school of fish behind me
In Shanghai now, and room mates are rushing me to head out for lunch. So will add more words soon.
All’s well!

All is well, all is well.
Will be leaving for Shanghai tomorrow morning for yet another week; that will sum up my travelling this summer holidays. But this time, travelling partners will be 3 guys whom I’m not too familiar with. Hope all will still be well.
Still feeling a little groggy and under the weather from the week of diving. Oh my.. is this how “age-is-catching-up” feels like?
Photos and updates from Sipadan/Kapalai, Sabah will be up shortly.
In Semporna
July 11, 2007
Making use of the internet services in this humble seaside fishing town.
We’re in Semporna! We’ve got to stop over for the night before heading to the resort tomorrow. Semporna has changed somewhat since the last time we’ve been here. There’re more internet services; there’s an “ang mor” bistro with its cheap alcohol and western grill; it’s relatively cleaner.. just a tad cleaner.
It’s still this smelly seaside fishing town, where street hawkers still preserve their fishes that gives off this smell pungent enough to make me gag. But.. they’ve made it up with their humble people and friendly children. And dinner wasn’t at all too bad.
Awaiting paradise

Updates:
If all goes well, I’ll be leaving for Sabah/Borneo to this place called Kapalai for a week-long dive trip tomorrow.

A paradise cut off from civilization. Really looking forward..
Favour please.

Hey,
I’ve just entered an InterContinental photography competition, barely made the deadline and only today I realised that the winner is determined by votes!

Left behind by the waves
The large span of sand across New Zealand’s pristine beach, dotted with flawless sea shells that got left behind by the waves. With the waves as the background, I seek to depict the shell’s want to return to the sea.

Please help cast enough votes to let me win something!
I’m a dreamer.. sometimes.

I’ve always wanted to write a book. I’ve daydreamed about how nice it would be to travel around the world to research on my next book, living off the royalties of the ones published. Until now, it’s still a dream; but like all dreams, it still holds hope.
The 3-month stint is coming to a close. Soul searching-wise.. I’ve not done much. Just sitting in the office all day, watching Heroes and random DVDs. A little waste of time, but at least it’s a steady 3-month income for doing nothing, mostly.
What has to end entails the beginning of another; let’s hope this beginning will be good.
