These two botaks are my nephews.

Sometimes, they make me want to scream cold murder.
Sometimes they irritate the hell out of me with their questions of “whys” and “why-nots”.
The manner at which they select their playthings, and the things they do their playthings make me fear for my dogs’ and my old-Datou-who-cannot-afford-a-heart-attack’s lives (my cat actually bolts at the sound of their voices).

But they, too, make me smile and laugh at their smiles and laughter.

I overheard an auntie commenting, "next year is the year of the ox." And I remember thinking, "Oh, it’s the year of the ox already? -pause- That’s fast. -pause- OH MY GOD, does that mean I’m 24???"

I like to look at my old travel photos and reminisce. And someone commented on my NZ photo saying, "wah, you look damn young then."

So here’s me in NZ,

and me in Alaska

Of course, I’ve always like to maintain, and believe, that I still look the same.

Yes, I do.
