The moment we stop looking forward to the future, we will begin living in the past. And what good is the past except as a chronicle of futures that have came and left?
Living in it might bring temporary respite to a reality that we are unwilling to face, an outcome that we are hesitant to accept, a truth that we might refuse to swallow.
However, like all reveries, it is at best, comforting although superficial and short lived.
I would rather search for Hope. And that, can only be found in the future.
